Submit

Feel free to submit any active website that falls into the categories on 404PageFound. This is not the Wayback Machine, so please do not submit any links to outdated versions of webpages. Sites can be either self-hosted or a subpage of a larger domain (such as .edu). In general, we love:

  1. A site created and last modified before the year 2000
  2. A site that still maintains an original Web 1.0 look although it may be recently updated
  3. Graphical sites only – no strictly text sites, Usenet summaries, individual text articles, etc.
  4. Free hosted sites such as GeoCities are not preferred, but do have their place

We will briefly review the site, and if it matches most of our criteria we will post it in the gallery as soon as possible. The Criteria page lists all site features that 404PageFound admires.

  1. My old graphical tour of a local nature walk from 1996 I think, may have updated it around 1998. Still at the same URL! even though the ISP company no longer exists. I have no idea how the site is still available.

  2. All about the supernatural and unexplained, this site retains it’s vintage charm, and still works in Netscape. The memorial to the pets who passed during the site’s long run is a little strange, but the hit counter still functions last I knew!

  3. This huge website hasn’t been updated since 2002. It is very weird and every page has a soundtrack to it. It is the website of the creator of viral video ‘Hand Thing’. Don’t say i didn’t warn you 😉

  4. This site was phenomenon in my country but under maintenance for 13 years.

(Türkler buradaysa ilk yerli Vintage sitemizi duyuruyoruz Bayrakları hazırlayın!)

  5. http://www.promarktv.com/

This is the website for an old, now defunct, television program distributor, Promark Television. One of their programs is the in-famous Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe in Santa special. The site was last updated around 2002, and some of the links are broken now.

  6. This is a website i found while growing google for html references and found this with a long list of Netscape links and outdated commands but no dates… Website seems to be frozen in time and yet not disabled in anyway but all outside links are dead or lead to a dead end like old yahoo on the netscapeones… Links seem to be after mosaic netscale putting
This somewhere in the 90s or late 90s and the whole sites up so explore away!
